Saunders Springs Nature Preserve boasts a great abundance of native plants and animals, as well as a good dose of local history. There are 26 acres at Saunders Springs which contain numerous streams, small caves, two miles of trails and two reservoirs. The area was used by both Union and Confederate troops during the Civil War as an overnight campground. Visitors will appreciate the magnitude of natural beauty to be found at Saunders Springs, as well as the historical aspects located at the preserve.
