81 acre island in Ohio River, fishing
All nature preserves are unique in their own right, but Six Mile Island is unique due to the fact that it is an island in the Ohio River that is only accessible by boat. The 81 acres were dedicated in 1979; and will one day provide researchers with insight on river island systems. There are no facilities on the island, but fishing may be done from the island.
