Smith Recreation Area

Recreation area with primitive camping, bank fishing, boat ramp, located near trailhead of Shadow Trail

On the shores of Martins Fork Lake, Smith Recreation Area offers a number of activities that visitors can partake in. A beach for swimming, campgrounds & bank fishing are all available. There are also picnic tables, a fitness trail & playgrounds. Located just past the recreation is the southern trailhead for the Shadow Trail, the popular five mile trail that leads around the lake shore to the dam area. Martins Fork Lake is a popular destination among anglers in southeastern Kentucky.
