There's Only One...Birthplace of Jefferson Davis.

A 351-foot obelisk marks the birth place of Jefferson Davis, June 3, 1808. Jefferson Davis was the elected president of the Confederate States of America, the group of 11 southern states that seceded from the Union at the start of the Civil War. 19 acres, museum, gift shop, picnic shelters, playground, elevator to top of obelisk. First weekend in June reenactment and Jefferson Davis Birthday Celebration. Monument/Museum Tour $5.00 for adults,$4.00 Military, 55 and older and $3.00 for children 12 and under. Museum only prices $3.00 for adults, $2 Military, 55 and older and $2 for children 12 and under. Hours of operation April 3  to November 15: The Museum, Gift Shop, & Monument are open daily from 9am-5pm. November 16 to March 31 Open by appointment only:
