There's Only One...Birthplace of Jefferson Davis.

A 351-foot obelisk marks the birth site of Jefferson Davis, June 3, 1808. 19 acres, museum, gift shop, picnic shelters, playground, elevator to top of obelisk. First weekend in June reenactment and Jefferson Davis Birthday Celebration. Monument/Museum Tour $5.00 for adults,$4.00 Military, 55 and older and $3.00 for children 12 and under. Museum only prices $3.00 for adults, $2 Military, 55 and older and $2 for children 12 and under. Hours of operation May 1 to October 31: The Museum, Gift Shop, & Monument are open daily from 9am-5pm. November 1 to April 30: The Monument will be closed; however, the Museum & Gift Shop remain open 9am-5pm on Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays
