Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park

Burkesville, Kentucky

Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park offers a vast, unspoiled wilderness to refresh and rejuvenate the senses. It’s no surprise the bald eagle, our national symbol, chooses this area for its wintering grounds.

Lodge Rooms - The Mary Ray Oaken Lodge, built of limestone and massive timbers, sits high on a bluff overlooking the 28,000-acre Dale Hollow Lake and surrounding woodlands. The 60 guest rooms feature private balconies and patios. The gift shop, located in the lodge lobby, offers a variety of Kentucky handcrafts.

Dining - Enjoy a variety of delicious menu selections featuring Kentucky cuisine. The spacious dining room features panoramic views of the lake through three walls of glass and a vaulted ceiling, accented with a 37-foot-tall stone fireplace. A private area of the restaurant can accommodate banquets and meetings for up to 50 guests.

Camping - Thousands of acres of pristine forest insulate the 145-site campground from the cares and hassles of the everyday world (utility hookups are available). Twenty four of these campsites are set aside for campers with horses, and a new country store is located at the entrance to the campground just beside the miniature golf. Here you will find grocery items, toiletries, souvenirs, supplies, and firewood. Don't have a tent or RV of your own? Six camping cabins with bunks and air conditioning are available for anyone looking for a camp experience.

Golf - The 18-hole golf course, designed by nationally acclaimed architect Brian Ault, includes bent grass tees leading to zoysia fairways and large, undulating bent grass greens. The 61 bunkers are framed by zoysia. Most of the holes have moderate to severe elevation changes. Five sets of tees accommodate every level of player. Golf Digest has consistently ranked Dale Hollow among its list of “Best Courses You Can Play.”
