Primitive Camping. Great Meadow is a no-fee, first-come, first-served campground. Area is located on both sides of the road, first area (Deer Loop) is on the right, and is open April 23 to October 31, the second area (Raccoon Loop) is on the left and is open year round. Rock Creek is designated a Kentucky Wild River, and is stocked with rainbow and brown trout year-round. Great Meadow campgrounds have accessible vault toilets, picnic tables, horse shoe pits, and drinking water available April 15 to November 1.

Directions

Take US 27 South from the Stearns District Office for 4.7 miles to KY 92. Turn right and go 1.2 miles then turn right on KY 92 at the Fastway Store. Go 5.3 miles to KY 1363, turn left and go 11.4 miles to the end of blacktop. Turn right on NFS Road 564, go 1.2 miles then turn left on NFS Road 137 and go 4.4 miles.
