About

Throughout history the prolific springs at the park have attracted prehistoric animals, Indians and pioneers, such as the legendary Daniel Boone. In 1778 Boone and a party of Boonesborough men were captured here by the Shawnee Indians during a salt-making expedition. Today, visitors can walk the very ground where 182 settlers, outnumbered and outgunned, fought for their ives in what is thought to be Kentucky’s last battle of the Revolutionary War on August 19, 1782. Blue Licks, a place where istory, nature and fun await you.

Lodge Rooms - The lodge offers 32 rooms with full amenities, including two suites, one of which can be used as a hospitality center for meetings and family reunions. The gift shop offers Kentucky handcrafts, books, confectioneries and a wide array of other items.

Cottages - For park visitors who want the convenience of home, two, two-bedroom executive cottages are available overlooking the Licking River.

Dining - Visit Hidden Waters Restaurant and enjoy a relaxing meal next to the fieldstone fireplace or overlook the banks of the Licking River from the patio in this 172-seat restaurant, known throughout central Kentucky for its excellent southern cuisine.

Camping - The great outdoors await you at the campground, featuring 51 campsites with utility hookups, a dump station and a central service building with showers and rest rooms. Pets are allowed if restrained, so bring them along!
