Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park

Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park is a picturesque retreat surrounded by more than 14,000 acres of the beautiful Pennyrile State Forest in western Kentucky.

Lodge Rooms - The rustic wood and stone Pennyrile Lodge, with 24 rooms, sits serenely on a high cliff overlooking Pennyrile Lake. For those who enjoy traveling with their four-legged friends, be sure to ask about our pet-friendly rooms when making your reservation.

Cottages - The park has 13 cottages located in the wooded lodge area and on the shores of Pennyrile Lake. The one and two-bedroom cottages have unique features, offering wooded or lake views, and such amenities as private boat and fishing docks, fireplaces, or screened-in porches.

Camping - njoy the beauty of the Pennyrile Forest in the 36-site campground. The campground features utility hook ups, a dump station, and one central service building with showers, rest rooms, and a laundry.

Dining - The scenery at Clifty Creek Restaurant will enhance your dining pleasure as you watch the sun glisten on Pennyrile Lake. As a supporter of the Kentucky Proud program, we use locally grown meats and produce when available. Enjoy traditional kentucky dishes along with chef specialties in the 200-seat dining room.

Boating - For a fun-filled day on the lake, visit the boat dock. Rental pedal boats, row boats, canoes, and trolling motors are available.

Golf - The 18-hole golf course lies at the bottom of a small valley surrounded by rolling hills. The course is flat with a creek running through the middle and water comes into play on every hole of the front nine. Click here to visit the golf course web page.
