A Beautiful Mountain Retreat The Little Inn of Harlan is a beautiful 3600+ square foot house located on South Main Street, nestled in the quaint city of Harlan, Kentucky. Built in 1938, during the heyday of coal mining in Harlan County, The Little Inn served as a rooming house, primarily for coal miners and construction workers. The house has been completely renovated and has original hardwood floors throughout. The inn is decorated to be warm and user friendly. The inn has five bedrooms and four full baths; a large living room; a dining room that can seat up to 16; a 600 sq. ft. kitchen with double stove tops. ovens and sinks for your cooking pleasure. The dining and living rooms can be converted to seat 50 of more for larger events. The inn has a beautiful multi level wooden deck for your relaxing or dining pleasure, with a view of Harlan and our majestic mountains.
