The vineyard and winery sits on 640 acres of beautiful Kentucky countryside, in a hollow between the hills along Town Branch Creek, a tributary of the Little Kentucky River. The winery and property is nestled along the Little Kentucky River currently with short trails to the river and amongst the hillside.
In addition to some of Kentucky's best wine, you will find yourself surrounded by a multitude of peaceful areas while enjoying our wines. Guests are welcome to bring a lunch and enjoy a unique picnic next to the vineyard, under the Pavilion, find a special nook amongst the wooded hillside, or along the Little Kentucky River. In addition we also offer public fishing in the Little Kentucky River. The Little Kentucky River Winery offers a very peaceful setting in which to relax, socialize, and enjoy a taste of true country charm. Our dreams and vision of the winery and grounds will extend over time. Each time you visit you’ll enjoy a new experience.
We strive to be "green". The winery's current wine tasting pavilion was built with over 95% of all the materials that came from the farm; everything from the extensive stone work and fireplace, to the massive timber frame, to the reclaimed oak (from 100year old barn that stood on the site) and hickory tasting bar. We purchased our tables from a hotel closing sale and our antique chairs from various second hand stores. Our larger mission is to create a sustainable model to preserve and improve the land, manage wildlife/forest, help the local community, and provide a place of enjoyment in a natural setting.
The vineyard and winery is located within 20 miles of Bedford, Campbellsburg, New Castle, Eminence, La Grange, Madison, and only 45 minutes from Louisville, and one hour from Lexington and Cincinnati.
