US 27, 5 miles south of Nicholasville, Union Army Civil War supply depot & training camp, White House, c 1850, used as the officers' quarters, 10,000 African American men gained their freedom here. Interpretive trails open from dawn to dusk- White House open Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

This is one of the stops along Kentucky's Lincoln Heritage Trail.
