A Save America's Treasures project, 1908 historic hotel has been restored as an African-American heritage museum. Famous African-American entertainers and sports figures including Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, B.B. King, Bobby "Blue" Bland and Ike and Tina Turner were guests at this hotel prior to desegregation.
