We provide tours, demonstrations, classes on spinning and weaving to persons of all ages. We are devoted to keeping the art of hand-weaving and its history alive. The Loomhouse is housed in three century-old cabins that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Esta Cabin, home of internationally recognized master weaver, Lou Tate, is also known as the site where the song "Happy Birthday to You" was first sung in the 1890's! Many birthday parties have taken place there with historic flavor and guests weaving on the Little Looms. We invite the public to schedule parties throughout the year. we also feature a Gift shop in our Wisteria cabin and a working weaving studio at Tophouse, featuring the Lou Tate Looms. Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and 3rd Saturday of each month 10:00am-3:30pm and by appointment. Tours $3.50, mini lesson $10.00 (take home your piece). Discounts for groups of 10 or more - reservations required.
