About

Folks have been stopping by this spot on Green River ever since the first traveler needed to get across. The buffalo knew the old ford first, of course, and they made the path. Since then, our guests have come from all parts, north and south along the pike, and they've always found something to like about Munfordville.

Hospitality is our middle name. In 1810, the Munford Inn began welcoming all travelers, and today the friendly Munfordville Welcome Center is eager to help you make yourself at home.

Of course, not everybody has been here on vacation. The Civil War left its mark on our fields and on our hearts, and you'll hear the echo of those turbulent years in the roar of cannons during Civil War Days in September, or as you walk the trails of the Battle for the Bridge Historic Preserve. Stories from our pioneer past, Prohibition, politics and more can be found and the Hart County Historical Museum.

Outdoor adventure beckons with canoeing on the Green River, hiking the triails in area parks, or exploring the enigmatic caves. And Munfordville is a great place to launch expeditions ot the wealth of nearby attractions.

WELCOME! WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE.
