Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site is a 745-acre park, making it the largest preserved Civil War battlefield in the state of Kentucky. The interpretive museum is located near the site where many Confederate soldiers killed in the Battle of Perryville were buried. Additionally, monuments, interpretive signage, and cannons mark notable events that occurred during the battle. The site became part of the Kentucky State Park System in 1936.

In the museum and gift shop you can get a map of the extensive hiking trails and historical markers and sites along the way.  Bring a picnic lunch, play at the park, hike the trails, tour the museum and imagine what it was like on that fateful day in the bloody battle for water.

The first week in October marks the annual reenactment date at the battlefield! Join us for food, fun, and (fake) gunfire! Visit our website for event info.
