The fastest Kentucky Derby ever

SecretariatThe legendary Secretariat, Kentucky Derby champion and thoroughbred that stands above all the others, is buried in Kentucky and had his best races here. See the movie then trace the life of race-horse legend Secretariat. Kentucky Derby Museum exhibits are full of Secretariat memorabilia and you can visit the location of the Kentucky Derby at Louisville’s Churchill Downs where “Big Red” ran the fastest Kentucky Derby in 1973, setting the first of three stones in his Triple Crown win. Aside from the Kentucky Derby, Secretariat also won at Belmont Stakes and Preakness Stakes in 1973, making him one of only a handful of Triple Crown winners. Tour the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington to learn more about the Kentucky Derby, Secretariat and his record for the fastest Kentucky Derby ever, and get your photo taken next to the bronze statue that stands in his honor.  Then take in the rolling hills of Claiborne farm where Secretariat, Kentucky Derby record-holder and horse-racing champion, is buried.
