Kentucky Downs Race Course

Kentucky Downs is the only all-turf flat racing thoroughbred track in North America. Live races are held in September - this year dates will be 8, 10, 11, 15, 17, and 18.  the newest thing in horse racing is "Instant Racing" a hybrid between slot machines and parimutuel wagering where bettors play at a terminal using historical racing data and video.  Kentucky downs also has simulcast racing from various tracks around the country over 300 days a year. If you get hungry "The Carvery" serves gourmet sandwiches, soup, baked potatoes, desserts and there's also a salad bar plus a fully stocked bar.  In addition to racing, bingo is played every day.  Rooms are available -large or small- for private parties, receptions, meetings, weddings/receptions, etc.
