The Knox Historical Museum was established in 1987 to preserve pieces of southeastern Kentucky's past. The museum highlights the area's rich heritage. Exhibits include a reception room, pioneer bedroom, Native Americans & Pioneers, Barbourville Room, Organization Room, Military Room, History Library/Audio-Visual Library, Communities Hall, Celebrities Room, and Little Theatre. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. Accepts motorcoaches by appointment only.
