Travel back to the turn of the century by visiting the Mennonite Community located between Ky 100 and 585 and Ky 1333. Calling themselves "the plain people", they lead a simple life with no electric or gas powered machinery. In the fall, see molasses made the old-fashioned way; fine fresh produce in the summer and purchase hand made leather items. Annual Southern Kentucky Horse Drawn Machinery Auction first Saturday in April. Contact the Scottsville-Allen County Chamber of Commerce for location maps.
