If ever there were an artist of and from the people of this country, it is Mitchell Tolle. Technically brilliant and emotionally evocative, he paints everyday America, real life, real places, real people. Tolle was fashioned by his upbringing in rural Kentucky, where values of family and faith are firmly instilled. A child prodigy who later studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy, he draws on heritage, humanity and habitat for subject matter. He takes the ordinary and translates it into the unique. The artist paints your grandmother, and mine. He captures many of your childhood memories of lazy summer days and star-filled nights when life was slower and a lot less complicated. The appeal is universal. Tolle has collectors in every state and from all walks of life. People from more than 70 nations have visited his gallery in Berea, Kentucky.
