Located in the heart of central Kentucky's Historic Triangle, Danville's Pioneer Playhouse is Kentucky's original outdoor dinner theater. The season features five plays, each with a New York-based cast, and runs from June through August. Since its founding in 1950, Pioneer Playhouse has launched the careers of thousands of talented actors, including John Travolta, Lee Majors and Jim Varney. The unique complex features a campground, a 19th-century village, and pieces from the set of the MGM Civil War epic 'Raintree County.' Tickets for dinner and theater: $28.00; for show-only: $16.00.
