About

Norton Center for the Arts is the arts facility of Centre College. Widely recognized as one of Kentucky's most important cultural resources, it offers exceptional programming in the performing and visual arts for the students, faculty, and staff of the College and for residents and visitors to the region. All Norton Center events are open to the public.Specially scheduled performances frequently bring legendary performers such as ballet great Mikhail Baryshnikov and mime Marcel Marceau to the Norton Center. Leading popular artists such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, and Ray Charles appear each fall as part of Centre College's Homecoming celebration. In 1999 and in 2000, the Boston Pops Orchestra performed in Newlin Hall. Tickets for the Newlin Hall Series, the Musica da Camera series, and Off-Centre are available on both a subscription and single-ticket basis. Single tickets for these series as well as for special events go on sale about three weeks before the event. The Norton Center Box Office, located in the Newlin Hall Grand Foyer, is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays.
