Circa 1850 building constructed by Oliver Perry. Confiscated by Union Army for Civil War base of operations from 1863-1866 and called the White House. Building is only one remaining of 300 which were once part of the 4,000-acre Civil War camp. Located within the Camp Nelson Civil War Heritage Park. Building serves as house museum interpreted as both military and residential usage. Monthly afternoon tea is held in the house. Open Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
