Kentucky Sport Museums
In downtown Louisville, you’ll find two interactive sports museums: the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory and the Muhammad Ali Center. Marked by a 120 foot tall bat (a Guinness World Record) the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, offers baseball fans a one-of-a-kind experience with everything from batting cages to factory tours and personalized bats.
Inside the Muhammad Ali Center, you’ll have the chance to experience the heart of a champion. The center tells the story of the man born as Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. with art, multimedia and interactive exhibits such as shadow boxing and speed and heavy bags.
Kentucky car racing enthusiasts will be glad to know the state is home to the National Corvette Museum as well. Located in Bowling Green — just a quarter mile from the one and only Corvette assembly plant in the U.S. — the National Corvette Museum houses more than 30 vintage vettes, an interactive museum and even an on-site restaurant. Corvette races are coming soon across the street from the museum.
