Restored 1820's house began life as a saddlery shop. Many other uses, including 50 years as publishing home of Carlisle Mercury newspaper. Present owner has completely restored home as residence, library and museum, adding new garage to become replica of an old fire station. Memorial plaque for 343 firemen who died at the World Trade Center is mounted beside a genuine fire pole.
