Kentucky Wineries and Breweries

Kentucky Wineries

Though the state’s bourbon industry may receive most of the hype, Kentucky has certainly played an important hand in the history of wine in the U.S. Did you know that Kentucky was home to the first commercial vineyard in the country? Or, that Kentucky wineries once produced more than 50 percent of the United States’ grape harvest and wine yield?

Visitors to "Bourbon Country" are often pleasantly surprised to find a number of vineyards tucked away in the picturesque settings of the state’s bluegrass countryside. A visit to a Kentucky winery offers a wonderful romantic experience, featuring wine tastings, festivals/events, tours and even on-site lodging.

Kentucky Breweries

If you’re in search of a different kind of spirit, you can find more than a dozen Kentucky breweries throughout the state. Many breweries also double as restaurants and often offer live music and special events to go along with their unique in-house brewery atmospheres.
