View the vineyard where the Cape grape is currently under cultivation.  This was the grape used to produce the first wine from a commercial vineyard and winery and was lost to history for 150 years.  The vineyard with the terraces, stone walls and method of vine training is being restored to be historically correct.  The original winery site is being restore along with interpretive signage explaining the process of wine production.

Take Hwy 1268 east off US 27 south of Nicholasville, KY. Go 4.1 miles on Hwy 1268E to intersection of 1268, Ft. Bramlett and Sugar Creek Pk. Go straight through intersection which is now Sugar Creek Pike, continue for 2.1 miles. Watch for mailbox and sign at entrance.
