Northern Kentucky Daylily Farm is a Little Slice of Heaven
On a scenic country hillside, just minutes from Route 8 and the Ohio river, a profusion of daylilies thrive at Arrasmith farm
in Melbourne, Kentucky. Like a Monet painting, the colorful blossoms splash across the gardens and field. Reasonably priced, the 600 varieties are not your grandmother's orange ditch lilies, or the ubiquitous yellow 'Stella De Oro' . Daylily hybridizing not only created many new vibrant and pastel colors, the variations include ruffles, doubles, and long petaled spiders. Blooms range from a dainty two inches across to an impressive seven inches. As the owners, Harriet Arrasmith, and her niece Jackie, know these hardy, sun loving perennials, quickly multiply and can be divided to share with friends. What started as a hobby, blossomed into a business six years ago, but I think Harriet's honest desire is to share the serenity and beauty with all who chose to visit this special place. I invite you to come early and enjoy the horses and old barn as you stroll through the gardens and fields in the cool morning air. After making your selections, relax under the spreading tree branches which create a welcoming shade. Meanwhile, we'll dig and prepare your lillies to take home to your own garden. Expect at least two healthy fans, but don't be surprised to get a large clump if that variety is plentiful and we want to make room to plant our new favorites. For each customer, we offer a free daylily from the Bonus Garden. Usually open Saturdays 9-5, from early June to mid July, check the farm's website to determine this year's dates for open field sales. The farm is located at 3595 Fender Road, Camp Springs, KY 41059. Direction and daylily photos can be seen at arrasmithfarm.com

or firstname.lastname@example.org From late May until mid August, someone is almost always there working as a labor of love.
