There aren’t very many purpose-built gardens for children–most seem geared toward an older crowd. But the Children’s Botanical Garden of South Central Kentucky gets kids excited about science and nature. The special garden is located in downtown Somerset at the Pulaski County Public Library and was created for children and the young at heart. The garden encourages children to use all their senses to connect plants to the sciences, history, literature and the arts as they learn about different plant varieties, gardening and more.
Make plans to visit one of the region’s only gardens for children–anyone can have fun identifying and learning about local flora at this wonderful garden.
