Description:18 holes, par 72, and 6583 yards. Formerly known as Picadome G.C., the newly named Gay Brewer, Jr. Course at Picadome was built in 1927 as the FIRST public golf course in Central Kentucky and is also the ONLY public course inside Lexington's belt-line. The municipal course is named after Gay Brewer, Jr., a Lexington native who turned professional and went on to great career on tour, including capturing The Masters title in 1967. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, which operates 6 golf facilities, acquired the facility in 2000. This facility offers a fully stocked golf shop, swimming pool, grill/snackbar, outing facilities and a staff that is eager to serve the customer. It is a challenging, old style course with tree lined fairways, tight landing areas, and small, undulating greens. Located within New Circle Road it offers a challenging and convenient golf get away. Picadome is open year-round except for Christmas Day. The course opens for play 7:30 am until dusk. Tee times are reserved seven days in advance.Picadome is open year-round except for Christmas Day.
