Skills for Earth-Friendly Living

Over 85 workshops featuring old time and traditional Appalachian living skills in a family-friendly atmosphere.  Home Canning, Backyard Chickens, How to Play the Banjo, and many more. A low-cost event with free tent camping, healthy home-cooked meals, guest speakers, campfires, mountain and bluegrass music, dancing, and workshops throughout the day.

Whippoorwill strives to be a family friendly festival.  We offer free admission for children 16 and under!  There will be lots of children at the festival and many young families.  We have tried to keep your costs low for families by serving two simple meals (breakfast and dinner) a day and this is included in your ticket price.  Camping and parking is also included.

A 4-day adult pass for the whole festival is only $120 and a 3-day pass is $90.  Prices will be higher at the gate so purchasing tickets online in advance is the way to go.
