Bowling Green’s centralized location in the south eastern United States has quickly made Bowling Green - Warren County Regional Airport a great stop for quick refuels, cargo operations, and the city is a great place to grab a bite to eat or catch a local event. The site of the Airport was established in 1934 as a military airfield. Over the years the BG - WC Regional Airport has grown to serve the ever-changing needs of the growing community that surrounds it. Since its beginnings in 1934 to the present, the BG - WC Regional Airport has striven to provide the best quality of service to the flying public.
Full flight service, all weather capability, FBO 24 hours 7 days,
rental cars, aircraft maintenance, free parking, courtesy car, two flight
schools and charter service.
For a little free entertainment, park at the airport and stand along the fence to watch a diverse variety of aircraft that use the facility land and take-off. The experience is quite different from one you may have at a large airport, and the BG/WC Airport is one of the only busiest General Aviation Airports in Kentucky that you can still walk into the terminal and get up close!
The open land and runways of the airport also serve as a great event location. One of Bowling Green's biggest annual festivals, Balloons, Tunes & BBQ, is held here every September. The Hot Rod Power Tour made a stop here in 2010 and many distinguished aircraft have landed for an appearance throughout the years.
