If you think the Bluegrass state is only horses and bourbon, then step into this 80,000 sq. ft. museum dedicated to the history, art, and culture of Kentucky’s past and present.
Explore some sweet history in the “Recommended by Duncan Hines” exhibit and follow the career of the Bowling Green native from traveling salesman to esteemed restaurant critic to cake-mix king. Other exhibits include The Snell-Franklin Decorative Arts Gallery featuring decorative arts from Egyptian - 1970s, the world-renowned collection in the Elizabeth Richardson Quilt Gallery, the Felts Log House and Civil War history, and highbrow outdoor "Stickworks" sculpture by award-winning artist Patrick Dougherty.
"Basketry Now" exhibition coming Summer 2019! The Art and Science of Mammoth Cave exhibit coming February 2020. Open Tues.-Sat. 9am-4pm. Closed on university holidays.
