Explore Kentucky's
Roads of History

Kentucky is a crossroads of American culture, with relics of the past waiting to be discovered around every bend. Frontiersman Daniel Boone blazed trails across the Bluegrass State, and Abraham Lincoln’s Kentucky roots extend all around the Commonwealth. Important Civil War battles and milestones of the Civil Rights movement both unfolded here. And you can still hear the soaring sounds of artists like the late, great Loretta Lynn,  Ricky Skaggs, Chris Stapleton and others along the Country Music Highway. Explore our Heritage Trails below, and chart your own path through Kentucky history.
