River View Park

River View Park is located on the banks of the scenic Kentucky River.This park provides a scenic riverside picnic area located off Wilkinson Blvd, picnic areas and a walking/biking trail.  Launch your canoe or kayak at the boat dock or, from the river, tie up at the dock and bring your lunch to the picnic area.  Kentucky River Boat Tours and Kentucky State University's Thorobred River Boat Tours begin at the dock. Further down the walking and driving trail is Ward Oates Amphitheatre.  Outdoor concerts are held at the amphitheatre throughout the summer.  Also during the summer canoes and kayaks are available for rent.
