Enjoy General Butler State Resort Park’s unique setting at the confluence of the Kentucky and Ohio rivers from the scenic overlook, which is one of the highest points in Carroll County. Located along I-71 between Louisville and Cincinnati, is a fitting tribute to one of Kentucky’s foremost military families. Named for General William Orlando Butler, the military fame of the family spans from colonial time through the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Mexican War and the Civil War. The lookout was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the early 1930s.

Lodge Rooms - General Butler Lodge is the essence of river town charm, featuring the warm glow of polished brass and rich woodwork. Each of the 53 guest rooms features a private balcony or patio overlooking the pool or hillside. The gift shop offers a unique selection of Kentucky handcrafts.

Dining - Two Rivers’ name and fish camp décor is a reference to the local area. It serves a bistro-style dinner menu with a variety of items ranging from fish to pasta and chicken to steaks. The restaurant seats 180 guests and offers a panoramic view with its floor-to-ceiling windows. Two Rivers has been featured in the book “Dining across Kentucky” as well as on the Kentucky Life television program.

Cottages - 24 cottages are available, with some having a private balcony or patio. One, two, three-bedroom cottages with one bath and two or three executive cottages with two baths are available.

Camping - The campground offers 111 campsites with utility hookups and grills. Showers and rest rooms are available at two central service buildings and one laundry facility is available.

Golf - The 9-hole golf course challenges you with greens that are flat and fast, and with rough that is deep in certain areas. The most demanding hole is #8, a 330-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot from a ridge onto the fairway below, and then an approach shot onto a 5,400-square-foot green with plenty of contour. There is an additional set of men’s tees that can be used when playing an 18-hole round.
