Luzerne Lake City Park is the city’s latest edition to its park system, being dedicated and developed during the 2014-2015 calendar year. This pristine 52-acre lake is located on the west side of the Highway 189 Bypass just south of the Highway 601 intersection on the west side of Greenville. The park consists of a recently completed and beautiful picnic pavilion, ample parking and 1/2-mile walking trail around a portion of the perimeter of the lake. The trail includes lengthy footbridges spanning two water inlets. Numerous wildlife can be viewed within the park, including waterfowl, song birds and a pair of Bald Eagles, who have decided to call Luzerne Lake home!  Paddle boats, as well as, trolling motor boats and canoes are allowed on the lake if anyone wants to “go fishing.” Come, see and experience a little outdoor fun!
