Shelby City African American Cemetery

This cemetery was reportedly Gov. Isaac Shelby slave cemetery, although names buried here also include two other nearby plantation owners, the Warren and Givens families. The cemetery contains 179 known burials, including several Civil War veterans, A World War I "Harlem Hellfighter," and a casualty of World War II.
