Camp Wildcat Civil War Battlefield

Camp Wildcat Battle Monument, accessible from U.S. Route 25 6.2 miles northwest of East Bernstadt, preserves the site of the Union camp and battlefield on Wildcat Mountain. The site is marked with trails, interpretive wayside tablets, a shelter, and some monuments. Some of the Union trenches have been preserved.  The American Battlefield Trust and our members have saved more than 264 acres at Camp Wildcat Battlefield.
