KSB Miniatures Collection
Imagine a working violin only two inches long . . . a lit crystal chandelier that fits in the palm of your hand or tiny dovetailed replicas of rare antique furniture created with 300-year-old wood. Everything is possible in the Kathleen Savage Browning Miniatures Collection, where one woman’s affection for perfectly scaled small items grew into one of the most acclaimed collections of fine-scale miniatures in the world.
Today, the KSB Miniatures Collection includes thousands of 1/12-scale (one inch to one foot) art objects displayed in homes, room boxes, and vignettes in the 3,300-square-foot gallery at the Kentucky Gateway Museum Center in Maysville, Kentucky. The fully furnished 1/12-scale reproduction of Spencer House, Princess Diana’s ancestral home, is the collection’s signature exhibit and draws tourists from around the world.
Admission to the KSB Miniatures Collection is included in the admission to the Kentucky Gateway Museum Center.
