As it celebrated 200 years in business in 1995, Jim Beam Company joined forces with The Nature Conservancy to create the Jim Beam Nature Preserve in Kentucky’s Palisades region just 20 miles outside of Lexington. The steep cliff tops surrounding the Kentucky River harbor the largest concentration of forest within the Inner Bluegrass. The Palisades region also harbors the largest concentration of rare plant species with the Bluegrass Region, which are concentrated in some of the more unusual habitats of the rocky riverbanks and the cliff top sites. The easy 1.5 mile loop trail is open all year from sunrise to sunset for low-impact activities such as hiking, photography and bird watching.  Please stay on the trail at all times.
