The Old Mulkey Meetinghouse is the oldest freestanding log church in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as well as, one of the oldest churches west of the Alleghenies. The earliest records of the congregation are dated 1798, but tradition claims the church was established much earlier. The meetinghouse serves as the focal point of the park. It offers a peaceful setting for a journey into the past with its unique shape and nearby pioneer graveyard where lie several Revolutionary War soldiers and Daniel Boone's younger sister, Hannah. Visitors will also find tranquil picnic areas, a covered pavilion, walking trail, playground and gift shop featuring traditional art and crafts. In addition, the park "Quest" is available for those with an adventuresome spirit. The park library houses a variety of local, religious and family histories. Looking for a wedding venue? The park has several you can choose from. This state historic site is located two miles south of Tompkinsville on KY 1446.
