With the hurricane leftovers we have been getting, Waterfall Wednesday is even more fitting than usual! 💦💦💦John B. Stephenson Memorial Forest State Nature Preserve in Rockcastle County protects a 123-acre wooded gorge with a rich spring floral display. The preserve honors John B. Stephenson, the former president of Berea College who enjoyed the area’s beauty and solitude and worked hard to preserve the forest surrounding Anglin Falls. Ringos Mill Covered Bridge is located in Flemingsburg. The length of this bridge is a little controversial with some saying it is 86-foot-long and others calling it 90 feet long, depending on how the set of double posts at each end are measured. The bridge was built in 1867 and is a single span, Burr truss, without arches. It served as a link to a gristmill operation during the 1800s. 📷 @southern_pirate (at Ringos Mill Covered Bridge)

Waterfallin on Wednesday at Eagle Falls! 💦 Eagle Falls Trail is 1.5 miles and is the only trail leading to Eagle Falls. Hikers follow the cliff line for much of the trail to one of the best views of Cumberland Falls! After crossing a seasonal stream, Trail 9 becomes a loop and a spur will take you to the river. The lower section of trail may be under water during high water and the latter section of the trail is rugged. (at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park)
