Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park

 

Dip into the gorgeous waters of Pennyrile Lake, cruise around on paddle boats or find adventure on hiking, equestrian and mountain bike trails. The beach is available to the public Monday-Friday, and open for in-house guests Saturday-Sunday, Memorial Day through Labor Day.  

 

Lake Barkley State Resort Park

 

Play volleyball on the sandy shore or take your boat out for a spin, cast for bass, crappie and more. Beach features an on-site bathhouse with toilets, showers and more.


Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park

 

Frolic in the waters of Kentucky Lake, right near the edge of the dam. Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the swimming season (Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend). Enjoy a picnic in the pavilion and get a game going on the beach volleyball courts. Lodge and cottage guests can also use the on-site swimming pool.

 

Barren River Lake State Resort Park

 

Settle in for a comfortable and content day on the sandy beaches of Barren River Lake. Enjoy the designated swim area, on-site restrooms and plenty of fishing. Decamp to the family-friendly Driftwood Restaurant at the end of the day.

 

Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park

 

This scenic swimming hole offers mountain views, volleyball courts, a public bathhouse and more.

 

Rough River Dam State Resort Park

 

More than just a great beach — you can also embark on boating and fishing adventures from the marina, chow down at the picnic shelter, go birdwatching or dominate the sand volleyball court. Head to Grayson’s Landing restaurant to cap off a long day of fun and relaxation.

 

Lake Malone State Park

 

Gorgeous hardwood forest Sandstone bluffs overlook the designated swim area. Guests can utilize the beachside showers, restrooms and refreshment stand for a full day of beach fun.

 

Nolin Lake State Park

 

Sit back and relax on the sand, hike the 1.6 mile trail to a waterfall or pack a picnic and enjoy lunch with a view at the accessible beachside pavilion.

 

Carr Creek State Park

 

Lounge on the sandy shore, swim in the 750-acre lake and pack a picnic for a rejuvenating day on this eastern Kentucky beach.

 

Green River Lake State Park

 

Get adventurous and hike 28 miles of trails, or set up at a campsite, grill out, play mini golf and more, right on the beach.
