CCSRP Wild Caving Adventure 2023: Saltpetre Cave

Carter Caves State Resort Park is proud to offer the Wild Caving Adventure Series. This event features tons of high octane adventure you can only experience at YOUR Kentucky State Park! Saltpetre is known for its historic role in the War of 1812, but did you know that it is also known for its gnarly winding passageways and dusty crawling? Saltpetre Cave has been developed for commercial tours, but the magic of Saltpetre begins when you head into the darkness and leave the tourist route behind. Participants will get a chance to walk the commercial routes as we pop in and out to duck walk and experience some hand and knee crawls. Journey into Saltpetre and experience the world famous time tunnel, endless crawl, meat grinder, and various other spots. Appreciate the cave that is thought to be the coldest cave in the state of Kentucky at a consistently chilling 47 degrees Fahrenheit. ALL equipment including coveralls, helmets, lights, and pads are included in the price. (includes all equipment, ages 13 & above)
